His tone is often upbeat and cheery, but his words and actions show that he does not like most people (especially America… and Mayor Maynot). He enjoys making a profit off of “American stupidity,” and often mocks Americans and references American stereotypes.

You may call me Sven, (Serious) unless you work for me, then Mr. Dewingreat. I am very excited to be opening my new mall tomorrow! First, I want to thank you for coming to this exclusive pre-opening event. Many of you won contests, have friends in high places, or paid an obscene amount of money to be here, yes? Oh boy, I love American commerce and America loves its malls. Does everyone here know there is a mall across the street from the mall we just built? I said to my partners, why would this town need another shopping container next to this shopping container? They answered… AMERICA! Yes, all of YOU love your tied-up flannels, fanny packs, and oversized pants that you wear below your buttocks. Bang! Bang! You have enough clothes and you still want more clothes! This is not as true in Sweden, if we have three shirts we have enough. All of you want more and more and more!
